The Barrington 220 School District proudly serves approximately 8,000 students from all or parts of Barrington, Barrington Hills, Carpentersville, Deer Park, Fox River Grove, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Lake Barrington, North Barrington, Port Barrington, South Barrington, and Tower Lakes.
Nestled within this 72-square-mile boundary area sits our early learning center, eight elementary schools, two middle school campuses, one high school, and a transition center for special education students who are 18-22 years old. These schools represent a place for our students to create, practice advocacy and empathy, collaborate, exhibit initiative and self-drive, think critically and solve problems, and communicate effectively.
It’s a place where our educators' passion for teaching, learning, and community helps our students learn, grow, and thrive, and where we emphasize the importance of being present in the moment and fully engaged in learning experiences. It’s a place that values innovation and doesn’t just ideate but acts on big ideas to enhance learning. It’s a place where community members come together each fall to line Main Street and cheer on our schools at the homecoming parade.
Join us this year as we make every school, every classroom, every learning opportunity The Place to B for our students!
The Place to B Mini Musical
#ThePlaceToB - a mini-musical is a 15-minute original musical in three scenes that tells the story of how a fictional Barrington 220 student, Gemma, finds her place. This musical was written, composed, and performed in partnership with over 50 Barrington 220 students and staff between February and August, 2024. The project featured the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a creative tool.
