Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR)
Over the next two weeks, students in 3rd– 5th grade will complete the IAR assessment. This is the state measure that represents our school's performance from year to year. More information on IAR can be found in the virtual backpack. Your child’s classroom teacher will communicate their grade levels exact testing schedule. There is nothing students can do to prepare for this assessment other than to be in the right mindset to perform optimally: get a good night’s sleep, eat breakfast, and come prepared to give his/her best effort. Each of our students is very capable of showing success on this measure. It is important that the adults of our school echo this same refrain of confidence: Always show your best effort.
