Blueprint 220 community engagement this month
At its Oct. 16 meeting, the Board discussed its three-part plan to seek community feedback this month about the Blueprint 220 master-facility plan. The Board is currently working with communications firm UNICOM ARC to conduct a telephone survey with a random sampling of residents who live within the Barrington 220 boundary area. Once the phone survey is completed, there will also be an online survey made available to all community members.
In addition, a Referendum Advisory Committee will meet three more times between Oct. 22 and Nov. 12, to review the master plan. In November the Board will review the results from the surveys and the feedback from the Referendum Advisory Committee, in order to help the Board narrow down which parts of the master plan a potential referendum question should focus on in the April 2019 general election.

At the Oct. 16 Board meeting, Dr. Brian Harris updated Board members about the scoreboards at Barrington Community Stadium. BHS will debut the new scoreboards on Friday, Oct. 19 for the last home game of the regular 2018 football season. The new main scoreboard has better audio capabilities and the video display is three times larger than the old scoreboard video display. It was made possible through sponsorships from Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington Bank & Trust (Wintrust), Lake Cook Orthopedics, Long & Company Jewelers, Moretti's, Motor Werks of Barrington and Wickstrom Auto Group. All sponsors will be recognized during half time of this Friday's varsity football game, which begins at 7:30pm.
