Blessings in a Backpack provides food for school children who may otherwise have little or no food to eat on weekends during the school year. Better test scores, improved reading skills, positive behavior, improved health and increased attendance have all been attributed to this program. Every Thursday all the elementary schools in our district get together to pack these bags at Sunny Hill Elementary. Hope you can make time to help feed a child!

(Help, Education, Resources and Encouragement), LINK (Learn, Inspire, Network, Know, 2013) to "enhance the health, and well-being of Barrington area children and youth in mind, body and spirit” by becoming a coalition of efforts rather than several groups.   Their first parent coffee entitled “Helping your Child Through Tough Times" is September 28th from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Barrington Area Library.  The evening will focus on mental health issues of our youth today.  Click here for more information
