The Barrington 220 Board of Education invites the Barrington area community to three meetings in May to discuss how Blueprint 220 could impact YOUR student's future, YOUR property taxes and YOUR community. All three meetings will have the same agenda.
Sat. May 12: 9am, BHS Guidance Resource Center Mon. May 14: 7pm, Grove Elementary Gym Thurs. May 17: 9:30am, Station Library
Over the past few months, the board has been working to refine a draft master-facilities plan for our schools. In the plan, the board prioritized building renovations for our high school, middle schools and elementary schools. The priorities are based upon community feedback from meetings last fall, projected costs and the district’s four academic focus areas (Fine, Visual & Performing Arts, Future-Ready Learning, Physical Health and Wellness and STEM).
Now the board would like to present its draft plan to the community. At these meetings you will have a chance to share your thoughts and questions with board members.
Once the board gathers community feedback, it will finalize the plan, then vote to approve the long term master facility plan. If the plan is approved, the board would then move forward with funding decisions, which will ultimately be up to the community through referendum.
Refreshments will be served at all meetings!
