Did You Know?

Exciting things are happening at Lines Elementary School this summer! Due to the generosity of our PTO and YOU, $80,000 was donated for a new Lines gym floor!! It will be installed THIS SUMMER!!! Stay tuned for our dedication and ribbon cutting event in August! And, the Lines library is getting new carpet! Mrs. Rolain is just giddy.

Barrington 220 Elementary iPad Procedures for the Summer

Current Kindergarten Students
At all Barrington elementary schools, current kindergarten students will get a 1:1 iPad at the beginning of 1st grade. 1st grade teachers decide if/when iPads go home with students during the school year.

Current Grade 1-4 Students
At all Barrington elementary schools, current 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students will take their iPads home over the summer. If parents do not wish to have iPads home over the summer, they should contact the Lines office at 847-381-7850. Lines students will then get their iPad back after school starts in August.

Current Grade 5 Students
At all Barrington elementary schools, current 5th grade students will take their iPads home over the summer and take them to middle school. If 5th grade parents do not wish to have iPads home over the summer, they should contact the Lines office at 847-381-7850. These 6th grade students will get their iPads at their new middle school in August.

Lines Dads with Daughters – This is your group!

Daughters grow up too fast!  Create memories with your daughter(s) that will last two lifetimes!  Indian Princesses is a relaxed program with no required activities beyond what your and schedule allows.

Indian Princesses is a great opportunity for dads to enjoy one-on-one indoor and outdoor activities with their daughter(s) while they are still young, strengthening the dad/daughter bond forever.  We organize activities throughout the year with other Lines dads with daughters; camp-outs, museum overnighters, get-togethers at a dads house with social time, snack and a craft.

Next event: June 9-11 - Spring Campout at Riverbend Campground Watertown, WI, (free to new families!)

For more details contact Ben Baker at 312-925-8595 or benbduke@gmail.com or <Click here for more info>

Lines’ awesome annual Field Day

Look for the Sign Up Genius coming out later this week and please join us on the last day of school for a day of fun, sun, and celebration. Grab a friend (or two) and volunteer for a shift (or two). You don’t want to miss this all school event! Stay tuned!

Cub Scout Year End Celebration

Cub Scout Pack 288 will hold a year-end event on Monday, May 22nd from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in the Lines Multi-Purpose Room. The event will celebrate the scouts and this year’s activities and advancements. Also planned is a fun-filled performance by a juggler/stilt-walker guaranteed to keep the kids enthralled.

All Cub Scouts and any other boys who will be in first through fifth grade next year are invited to attend the event with a parent to learn more about what the Cub Scouts have done this year and enjoy the show. Siblings are welcome, too!

Please contact Abe Ryder at abe_ryder@yahoo.com with any questions regarding this event.
