Thank you to Beth Hendon and Karen Benson for putting together a wonderful staff appreciation week last week. What fun they all had!!!! Thanks to all the volunteers that donated items and time during the week to make it a success.

Lines’ awesome annual Field Day

Calling all volunteers! SAVE THE DATE for Lines’ awesome annual Field Day, Wednesday, May 31st. What better way to welcome the end of the school year and the start of summer than with your student(s)! Look for the Sign Up Genius coming out later this week and please join us on the last day of school for a day of fun, sun, and celebration. Grab a friend (or two) and volunteer for a shift (or two). You don’t want to miss this all school event! Stay tuned!

Cub Scout Year End Celebration

Cub Scout Pack 288 will hold a year-end event on Monday, May 22nd from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in the Lines Multi-Purpose Room. The event will celebrate the scouts and this year’s activities and advancements. Also planned is a fun-filled performance by a juggler/stilt-walker guaranteed to keep the kids enthralled.

All Cub Scouts and any other boys who will be in first through fifth grade next year are invited to attend the event with a parent to learn more about what the Cub Scouts have done this year and enjoy the show. Siblings are welcome, too!

Please contact Abe Ryder at abe_ryder@yahoo.com with any questions regarding this event.

Earth Day Celebrations

What did Earth Celebrations look like at Lines?  Green Club Gardened, we collected toys and clothes for re-use, teachers received indoor planting kits, we recycled and used less plastic, Green Corner became filled with posters, pictures and drawing from kids. This past week Ms. Katie from SWANCC came and did a fun presentation for all 2nd graders to learn about the three R’s and how to care for the Earth just a little more. Mr. Luedtke won the most weight in bags brought in and the class will be enjoying a pizza party on the 15th!!  North Barrington's Bag Challenge is this week so we will find out what school won very soon! (Winner is judged by weight of  during one week.) Thanks to all who participated!!

Enjoy the pictures!
