Memory Night Team
The Memory Night Team is looking for "sweet treat" donations for their big night on May 23rd from our wonderful Lines Families.
Please help us make a special night even better with your SWEET TREATS! We are requesting that all treats be dropped off at school (gym) at 5:30. If you are unable to do that please drop off that day (8:40 am-3:30 pm) to the front office at Lines. Mark it MEMORY NIGHT. Thank you in advance for your support of this event!
4/24 - 4/28
In the spirit of continuing our Earth Week Activities, we are having a recycle competition between classrooms and also with North Barrington School! The Classroom that wins will decide on their prize with their teacher and we will do an all school celebratory prize if we win against NBS!
Save and Bring as much as you can of the following items.
Food Storage (baggies), pellet bags, Ice Bags, Salt Bags, Bubble wrap, Dry Cleaning Bags, Produce Bags, Bread Bags. (Winning classroom chosen by weight of total bags.)
This effort will help educate about the effects of plastic in the environment. Much of the single use plastic we use ends up eaten by animals. Annually approximately 500 billion plastic bags are used worldwide. More than one million bags are used every minute. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is located in the North Pacific Gyre off the coast of California and is the largest ocean garbage site in the world. This floating mass of plastic is twice the size of Texas, with plastic pieces outnumbering sea life six to one. Lets be hug the Earth and use less plastic. ♻️
