Each year the two middle schools provide an evening program for parents with a child moving to sixth grade. The orientation night is designed to provide an introduction and overview of the opportunities and programs available at middle school. In addition to learning about middle school programs, parents will have a chance to meet staff members and tour the schools. The programs will run from 6:00-8:00pm. Station’s night is Wednesday, April 5th, and Prairie’s program is Thursday, April 6th. More information will be coming home from the middle schools in the coming weeks.
A special thank you to Keeley Hart, Lisa Lizak, Leslie Sherrin and Windy Kopecky for all your time and hard work you put in to make the Daddy Daughter Dance a fabulous night for the girls and their dads. Also a big thank you to all the volunteers that donated water, sweets, and those that help set up, work and clean up the event. These events aren't successful without your help. You are all greatly appreciated.

Congratulations on a wonderful season to our Basketball team!
Mr. Kienzle, Mr. deBruin, and Ms. Giovannelli would like to congratulate the fifth grade girls' and boys' basketball teams on wonderful seasons. The athletes displayed hard work, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes throughout the season. They grew as basketball players and individuals through competition and teamwork. You make Lines School proud!
Date: Saturday, May 20!
Place: Downtown Arlington Heights
Save the date for the fifth annual Got2Run for Education. This is a fun, exciting 2.62 mile mini marathon or 8k run/walk in beautiful downtown Arlington Heights. A sizable portion of each registration fee comes back to Lines School for our wellness initiatives. Last year, Lines School received a check for $1058.75, largely due to a huge turnout of Lines Families and Staff.
We had over 70 registered participants.
This year, we would love to break the 100 participant mark! This is a great event to cap off our Running Club season and school year! Please check out the website, http://www.got2run.org for details.
The Speech Tournament will be held March 4 at Station Campus. All students have been memorizing their scripts and the coaches have been working with each group. When your group is ready, you may perform for one or two classrooms in February. This will give you the chance to practice in front of a group of students. Please ask the teacher what time would be best for the performance.
