Q&A with Dr. Hyllberg on May 16 at 9:15 a.m.

Please join us for Questions & Answers with Dr. Hyllberg at 9:15 a.m. on May 16 at Lines Elementary School. This replaces the Q&A with Dr. H. that had to be rescheduled from March. Topics to be discussed will include an update on our building improvements taking place this summer, the new Lines logo, information on the Lines class placement process, One to World technology update and more. This PTO sponsored event is meant to be an open conversation that allows Lines parents to ask questions about Lines School. Coffee and authentic Danish Kringle will be served. If you have any questions about this event, please email Dr. Hyllberg. Hope to see you there!

Google Expeditions

We are very excited to welcome the Google Expeditions program to Lines Elementary School on Thursday, May 26! This exciting event is for grades two through five. Google Expeditions is a new product that allows teachers to take their classes on virtual field trips, immersing students in experiences that bring abstract concepts to life, giving students a deeper understanding of the world beyond the classroom. Google provides everything we need to travel: a tablet for the teacher and cardboard viewers and devices for every student.

These trips are collections of virtual reality panoramas, 360
° photo spheres, 3D images and video, and ambient sounds...all annotated with details, points of interest, and questions that make them easy to integrate into curriculum already used in schools. Click here for a short video clip on this exciting program! A special thank you to Mrs. Muhtaris, our reading coach, for bringing this exciting opportunity to Lines!
