How does our school rank according to the Illinois 5Essentials questionnaire? Parents, this is your opportunity to evaluate BMS Station Campus according to five “essential” areas critical for school success, including but not limited to ambitious instruction, supportive environment, and leadership. The online survey is open through January 13 and is accessed by clicking here. PLEASE NOTE: Because Barrington 220 is based in Lake County, choose "Lake" from the county drop down menu, then select our school.

Illinois public schools are required by the State of Illinois to take the 5Essentials survey once every two years. The survey data becomes part of each school’s Illinois School Report Card listing, which is a public website provided by the Illinois State Board of Education. Barrington 220 will receive results from the survey in the spring of 2017, and they will be publicly posted on our Illinois School Report Card the following fall.

Thank you for your participation in this important survey. We appreciate and value your feedback.

This month we are encouraging our students to get involved in their communities! The students are participating in counselor-led SEL lessons that focus on how an effective community functions and ways we can help one another. At school, many students have donated money to Barrington Area Giving Day and we are continuing to collect coats and books. Here is the recent schoology message we sent to students as a reminder to get involved in their community.

And as always, we encourage you to continue conversation around making good choices. Remember, it’s not “1 sixty-minute conversation, it’s 60 one-minute conversations! “

Starting your Holiday Shopping Already?

Don't forget that you can shop via Amazon and send a rebate for your purchases to the Station PTO. Simply visit and designate "Parent Teacher Org of Barrington Middle School Station Campus" for your chosen charity to support (search Barrington, and it comes up easily from there). Then just shop as you normally would, and a portion of your sale will come back to the PTO. You spend no extra money, and everyone wins! You don't have to be a Station parent to support us, either. Tell your friends, family, and neighbors.

Honor a teacher this holiday season with a donation to the Barrington 220 Educational Foundation!
Show your appreciation for any District Teacher or Staff member with a Teacher Tribute. Each Honoree will receive a personalized seasonal card to commemorate your donation to the Barrington 220 Educational Foundation. Cards will be delivered to all schools the week before Winter Break. Honorees will also be acknowledged on the Educational Foundation website.
In order for the staff member to receive your Tribute prior to the winter break, gifts must be received by December 14, 2016.
