    Countryside Gift Cards Sale!

The PTO is offering gift cards for the holidays as a fundraiser. It’s the easy way to shop! You pay the face value of the gift card, and we receive a percentage of the amount. Percentages are noted next to the retailer name. The higher the number in the column, the greater the percentage we earn.

The gift cards are from a variety of retailers – those you shop at all the time like grocery stores, gas stations, or home improvement retailers as well as your favorite restaurants and entertainment venues.

You should receive the flyer and available retailers in your child's backpack today, but you can also print it here.

Please fill out the attached form, and send in your child's backpack along with a check-made payable to Countryside PTO, return it by Monday November 27th. All orders will be available for pick up by Friday December 1st.

Blessings in a Backpack provides students who qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch program with four to five food items to take home over the weekend.

Packing takes place every Thursday from 9 - 10:30am in the multi-purpose room at Sunny Hill School, 2500 Helm Rd., Carpentersville. Volunteers from Countryside are asked to assist packing bags each Thursday morning. A driver then brings the bags to Countryside.

“Packing” and “Driver” volunteers are needed to help with this worthwhile cause and make a difference in our community. If you have small children at home, please feel free to bring them along! Little hands are big helpers.

BHS - YH4L Cardiac Screening Program

We still need to fill another 180 volunteer spots for the YH4L Cardiac Screening Program to BHS on December 7, 2017.

This screening offers a FREE ECG (electrocardiogram) to identify students at risk for sudden cardiac death. Each week 60 young adults in the United States die from sudden cardiac death. Barrington High School and YH4L need over 250 adult volunteers to make this event possible.

Volunteer shifts are from 7:45 am to 11:45 am, 11:00 am to 3:20 pm, or all day (7:45 am to 3:20 pm). In addition, all volunteers must attend a brief training session the evening of December 6.

Volunteers are vital to our ability to offer this program, as well as to the lives of the young adults who will be screened. No medical knowledge is required to volunteer! It is simple and you will always have a partner!

Sign up to volunteer using this link: http://signup.com/go/Hdct1v.

A reminder to sign up your student! Parents must sign up their son or daughter and will need their student ID number (available on Infinite Campus). Students will be screened during their PE, lunch or open period. All BHS students are eligible for a free screening. Sign up your student HERE.

A Special thank you to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital for funding this life-saving program!

    Thank You!
