Superstar Rihanna visits Barrington High School in 2013. Her visit came after BHS-TV students won a video contest in which Rihanna asked schools to produce videos that would highlight charitable work set to her "Diamonds" single.
BHS students participate in the first ever Business INCubator Pitch Night in May 2014. Believed to be the first of its kind in the nation, the Business Incubator course was started at Barrington High School during the 2013-14 school year. The innovative class teaches entrepreneurship to high school sophomores through seniors. It is now in more than 200 high schools across the country, as well as schools in Australia and Spain.
BHS alum and former Chicago Bears player Gary Fencik presents the BHS football coaches with a commemorative Golden Football to mark BHS entering the NFL's Super Bowl High School Honor Roll. The Honor Roll celebrates high schools and communities that have contributed to Super Bowl history. Fencik was part of the 1985 Bears team that won the franchise's first Super Bowl title. Country singer Brad Paisley surprises the crowd by appearing on stage for a performance during the 2017 BHS graduation ceremony.
The concert was the prize in a contest promoting Paisley's new song, "Last Time For Everything." BHS-TV students created a video for the contest that asked students to answer the question: What "Last Time" are you going to miss most about school?
Construction crews demolish the mobile classrooms at BMS-Station Campus in June 2021. The demolition marked the beginning of major facility upgrades across all Barrington 220 schools, thanks to the community's support of a $147 million referendum on the ballot on March 17, 2020.
The BHS Marching Band participates in the London New Year's Day Parade on January 1, 2023. This marked the band's third appearance in the iconic parade.
