Student Services & Support
Dedicated to ensuring that every student has the chance to achieve that personal excellence in District 220, the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services & Support impacts the district in the following ways, among others:
- Leads and coordinates programs as related to special education, Section 504, health services, and social-emotional supports
- Ensures adherence to state and federal regulations such as IDEA
- Oversees identification, placement, programming, and compliance for students with IEP’s, including out-of-district placements and due process proceedings
- Guides district efforts in SEL, mental health programming, and behavioral interventions in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Ensure appropriate allocation of staffing and materials based on student needs, program growth, and legal mandates
