Annual Compensation Reports

Public Act 101-0504 requires IMRF to post certain employer cost and participation information on its website. IMRF updates these reports annually. Furthermore, the Act requires employers who participate in IMRF to post a link on their website to the IMRF webpage that displays this information: https://www.imrf.org/en/about-imrf/transparency/employer-cost-and-participation-information

Student Teaching

Prospective student teachers must complete an online application.

Applicants must upload the following documents when completing the online application:

A letter of request for placement from the university
All applicable transcripts
A personal data sheet or resume

An initial pool of candidates will be selected and names will be shared with the building principals and cooperating teachers. An interview process may take place prior to any placement. Student teachers who are accepted must complete the following before starting their student teaching in the district:

Proof of a negative TB test report completed within the last six months (only if the person will be working with early childhood)
A fingerprint background check completed by the Human Resource Office
A signed confidentiality form
Verification of viewing mandatory presentation
Attend district level orientation

Teacher Evaluation

Since 2011, Barrington 220 has used a research-validated evaluation tool called the Danielson Framework for teacher observation, evaluation, and development. The Danielson Framework was developed by acclaimed educator Charlotte Danielson. It is used as a teacher evaluation tool in many school districts across the country.

In 2022, the Danielson Group revised its framework to reflect new research and feedback from educators in the field. The revised framework further advances principles of equity and social-emotional learning concepts. Barrington 220 will implement the revised evaluation tool at the start of the 2023-24 school year.
