An estimated $6.9 million out of the $147 million referendum will be spent at Sunny Hill Elementary School, which includes all construction costs and non-construction items such as safety and security, furniture and technology. Key projects include:
- Renovation of existing space to create a sensory room for students with special needs
- Renovation of current STEM room in basement
- Addition of a security entrance vestibule in the back of the building
- New playground (anticipated to be completed September 2022)
Construction at Sunny Hill began in Summer 2022 and was completed for the start of the 2022-23 school year.
