The Barrington 220 School District proudly serves approximately 8,000 students from all or parts of Barrington, Barrington Hills, Carpentersville, Deer Park, Fox River Grove, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Lake Barrington, North Barrington, Port Barrington, South Barrington, and Tower Lakes.
Nestled within this 72-square-mile boundary area sits our early learning center, eight elementary schools, two middle school campuses, one high school, and a transition center for special education students who are 18-22 years old. These schools represent a place for our students to create, practice advocacy and empathy, collaborate, exhibit initiative and self-drive, think critically and solve problems, and communicate effectively.
This year, our district theme is “B Real.” This new theme aligns with elements of our strategic plan. In the area of Future Readiness, we are expanding authentic learning activities for our students that provide real-world application and experiences. In addition, we will continue our work in the area of Health & Well-Being by updating our curriculum connected to social media and digital citizenship. The reimagined and enhanced programming will better align with the reality our students are experiencing in digital platforms.
