  • Barrington Athletics is excited to offer summer camps for our student-athletes in July and August. In order to provide this opportunity, all camps will take the following precautions and strictly adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Illinois High School Athletic Association of the State Department of Health under Phase #4 of Restore Illinois.  Those not adhering to the guidelines will be asked to leave with the possibility of being dropped from their camp.

Drop Off / Pick Up: Designated drop off and pick up areas are explained in the description for each camp.  The purpose of having these areas is to encourage social distancing and to discourage intermixing of students from different groups.  All parents that are dropping off / picking up are encouraged to remain in their cars.  A mask must be worn if the parent needs to leave the car for any reason.

Daily Check-in: All students must wear a face mask to and from camp each day.  At the start of each session, a coach will take each student’s temperature and ask each a series of questions required by IHSA/IDPH.  If the student answers “yes” to any of these questions or if their temperature  is 100.4 or above, we will ask the student to return home for the day.  It is then encouraged that they seek to have a COVID-19 test taken.  In addition, students are asked not to come to camp if they have any of the following symptoms:

    • Cough

    • Fever

    • Chills

    • Muscle Pain

    • Shortness of Breath and/or headache

    • Sore Throat

    • New loss of taste or smell

    • Nausea, Vomiting, and/or Diarrhea

    What to Bring to Camp:

    • A face mask must be worn before and after camp and indoors at all times. Face masks may be taken off when outside if social distancing can be maintained by camp activities.
    • Students must provide their own water bottle.

    • Students should come to camp fully dressed to work out as they will not have access to locker rooms.

    • If you bring a cell phone, we suggest having a protective bag in the event of rain.

Other COVID-19 Related Protocols:  Per IHSA/IDPH guidelines, coaches will be required to wear a mask at all times.  Group sizes will be kept to 50 or less in an area.  All participants will be required to social distance when not involved in camp activity.  Spectators will not be allowed at summer camp unless specifically permitted.

Please see the specific course description for the fees associated with each camp.

Prorating Camps: The BHS Summer School program does not prorate camps.  All students must pay the full listed fee(s) to participate.

Severe Weather: Outdoor camps will still be held in the event of light rain.  However, if potential lightning is in the area, we will temporarily take shelter in the building.  If we anticipate heavy rains or storms, we may cancel the session.  Coaches will notify their athletes in the event of a cancellation.
