Boys Soccer

  • History

The IHSA hosted the first state soccer tournament series in 1972. After years of program growth, the 1998 Broncos broke through, under Coach Mark Berkowicz, winning 19 games and a Sectional Championship. The following year Scott Steib took over the reigns of the program that the Hall of Fame coach still leads. Since 1999 the program has won 10 IHSA Regional Championships and 5 Sectional Championships. The 2002 team brought home the State 3rd Place trophy. In 2007 the Broncos won a school record 25 games on their way to winning the IHSA State Championship. More recently, the Broncos brought home the State 2nd Place trophy in 2016 and won the 2017 MSL Conference Championship.
