Wellness Team Bios
The Wellness Team consists of a multidisciplinary team with a variety of skills and specializations. We are available to support our colleagues by assisting in the development of classroom strategies to enhance the social/emotional development of our students. We also provide direct support to students on an individual or group basis.
Allie Bauer, MA, LCPC, PEL
Allie Bauer has been working with children and adolescents for over 10 years, in both an outpatient therapy and school setting. Allie has experience working in Student Assistance Programs in several school districts in the Northwest and West suburbs of Chicago. She specializes in integrating both social/emotional concerns and academics into her work with students in order to treat and develop every aspect of the student. Allie is an Interventionist and 504 Case Manager on the BHS Wellness Team.
Amy Winkelman is the Prevention and Wellness Coordinator at BHS. Amy has worked in District 220 for 23 years, she taught at BMS Station for 5 years and has been at BHS for the past 18 years. Her interests include working with staff and students to promote healthy lifestyle initiatives, supporting students with decision making, and collaborating with community resources to provide opportunities and supports for students. Amy is a BHS alumni and enjoys being the staff sponsor for Broncos Committed, PACT, Reality Club, and Erika’s Lighthouse.
Kevin Art, LBS-1( Learning / Behavioral Specialist), IL-PEL 09 (Social Studies), 10 (Special Education) & 73 (School Counseling)
Kevin Art has been Teaching Social Studies in the Special Service Department and Coaching Football here at Barrington High School since 1999. He is now honored to be serving as a Counselor / Interventionist and 504 Case Manager. In this capacity, he interacts with students, parents, and teachers to help support student academic success and social/emotional well-being.
Pat Radke is the Wellness Team Coordinator. Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). She holds advanced certification in substance use counseling(CAADC). Pat also has a Professional Educator License (PEL) in School Counseling. She is currently pursuing coursework in Mindful Schools. Some of her clinical interests include Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation training, as well as the nexus between substance use and mental health concerns.
