5th Grade Transfer Requests Over the last several years we have had a small number of requests for students to attend a middle school other than the building to which they have been assigned based on attendance boundaries.
Parents of fifth graders who feel they have a compelling reason to justify a transfer request should complete the district's Middle School Transfer Request Form and submit it to the attention of Dr. Craig Winkelman prior to February 27, 2017.
This transfer form is available here and on school and district websites: www.barrington220.org
Tentative approval and denial of transfer requests will be determined by the end of March 2017.
BluePrint 220 Parent and Community Meeting
North Barrington students and community members are invited a community conversation surrounding Blueprint 220: A future-ready facilities plan.
Blueprint 220 is a multi-year plan to align our facilities with our innovative style of teaching and learning. A successful plan will incorporate feedback from the community and educational stakeholders, paired with current research and best practices in educational planning and design.
Phase one of this process has already begun. Architectural firm DLR Group has been conducting environmental and structural evaluations of our buildings as well as shadowing students to understand the flow of traffic through each school. Results from these studies will be presented to the community at each meeting. Architects will also seek input from those in attendance on ideas for improving our spaces in the future, and provide insight on next steps of the process. Click here for a complete timeline.
Meeting at North Barrington will take place: March 15th, 7-8:30 PM
