MINI COURSES

Reminder that mini course registration is due on Wednesday, October 15. Please bring your permission form and money to the front office to make sure you're registered for the class you're interested in. See you in a couple of weeks!

 

All 7th Grade Students Going on the Springfield Trip

You will need to stop by S-3 and pick up an Emergency Form from Mrs. Stengren. This form must be filled out and returned by Wednesday, October 15th.

This trip is not sponsored by District 220.

 

8TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL

8th grade boys basketball tryouts begin next Monday, October 20th from 3:00-4:15PM in the gym.  All tryout candidates must have their physical on file in the nurse's office and their BLUE sheet to Mr. Peterson by this FRIDAY

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL INTRAMURALS

During today’s playoff games, in the first round 1st place team the “Evil Red Bunnies” will spar against the “Blue Bobo Monkees”.  And, 2nd place team the “Super Greys” will take on the “Awesomers”.  Winners of these games will move on to the Championship game.  GOOD LUCK GIRLS!

 

Student Council Reps

Our first meeting will be on Thursday, October 16th, during 3rd hour in the Cafe.  It is important that you attend because we are starting a project for our soldiers, and we need to give out information that will get the year rolling.  Let your 3rd hour teacher know where you will be.  We'll try to get done quickly so that you can get back before the end of class.

 

Friends and Company will have our first meeting of the year on Monday October 20th after school in A-3. Please let Ms. Schaffer know if you can make it ASAP.

 

Retake Picture Day - For students who missed picture day or would like retakes.

Friday, October 17.  8:00-10:30am.  Students will be called out by class and report to the Activity Center. Students must return original photo order for retakes or have order form completed with money at time of picture taking. 

 

 Variety Show Participants

Don't forget to sign up to show us your act before Thursday, October 23.  Set a time with Mrs. Mascot or Mrs. Legal.  Sign up is outside Room B11.   If you didn't come to the first meeting, you are still welcome to participate.  The more the merrier...

 

This year, our yearbook will have a theme: Elements of Style.

If you like to draw and would like your artwork showcased on the cover of the 2008-2009 yearbook, drop off your entry by Friday, October 17 to Mrs. Battin in room B1. All entries must be on plain, white, 8 1/2 by 11 piece of paper (standard computer paper); colored; follow the theme (Elements of Style); and your name must be written on the back.  All entries will then be displayed in the front of the school and elections will take place before October 30. Thank you for helping us make this the best yearbook ever!

 

YEARBOOK CLUB

There will be a yearbook meeting TODAY in Room B1. All current and new members are invited to attend.

 

BOYS BASKETBALL

Any boys interested in trying out for basketball must turn in their Red form to Coach Domenz by Thursday.  You must have a current physical on file as well.

CHARLOTTE'S WEB PERFORMANCES THIS WEEK!!

Performances are Thursday, Friday, & Saturday @ 7:00pm and Sunday @ 2:00pm.

Tickets may be purchased before or after school on the stage.  You may also get tickets at the door before each performance.

Teens 4 Teens will be meeting this Thursday after school from 3-4:15.  Bring your permission slips and $5 for the t-shirts if you haven’t already done so.  If you are in a sport or in the play, stop by for a few minutes and be part of the group picture.   Don’t forget to wear your t-shirt! Also, we are going to be collecting costumes for the kids from the Chicago Hope Alive after-school program.  If you have any old Halloween costumes you would like to donate, please 

bring them to Thursday’s meeting.
