Attention Debaters! Please have your research ready by today at the end of the day before our competition. If you were not at our last practice, you need to let me know if you are planning on attending our competition today. See you today after school in room A9.
Spelling Bee is Coming!
If you are an avid speller and want to get ready for the school spelling bee, practice booklets are available in the media center this week. Each Language Arts classroom will have a class spelling bee to determine a class winner. All class winners will be invited to participate in the all school spelling bee on Monday, February 2nd after school.
Did you earn a BUG award? The quarter grades end Jan 22. If you still don't know what a BUG award is ask someone.
ATTENTION ALL SPEECH TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS
Applications are due today! I will be in T3 after school till 3:30 if you have any questions or need a script printed. I am also available during your advisory in T3 on all other days as well as today! There is no activity bus today so you must arrange for a ride. If you are having a problem handing in your application on time please see me as soon as possible so we can work something out! Make sure you are practicing your script! Any questions please see Mrs. Semrad.
The Station Geography Bee will take place on Thursday, January 29 in Mrs. Hunter's room C-4 after school. All winners at the classroom level are invited to compete at the school level. If you want to brush up on your geography in advance, check the National Geographic website: www.nationalgeographic.com Check with your social studies/history teacher for when your classroom bee will be held if it has not been held already.
Tales to Tackle booklets are due to Mrs. Hempel by Thursday, January 22th. Please bring them to the library by next Thursday.
