Today was a great day. I had many wonderful things. I will start with the morning announcements. I had to do it all by myself! It turned out pretty good. Next, I went to Mrs. Crandall's 2nd grade classroom to help with their pioneer unit. They acted like real settlers on the way to Oregon (not dressed like settlers, just acting like them). Then we gave out notes to teachers and took pictures of the students. We even made hot cocoa.

 

Then we met with Ms. Meiser to pick out books for a read aloud in Mrs. Gillengerten's 3rd grade classroom. We picked "Creepy Carrots" by Aaron Reynolds and "I Want My Hat Back" by Jon Klassen. Mrs. Gillengerten's students liked Klassen's book best.

 

Mr. Becker, Head Custodian, gave me a tour of the facilities. I saw some cool stuff. For lunch, I had Jimmy John's which was awesome. The day ended with me calling a surprise recess for the whole school.

 This is the last event for the school year. Enjoy an evening of ice cream, entertainment, and a one day book fair.  Book Fair starts at 6:30pm and Ice Cream Social starts at 7pm. Don’t miss the last PTO event of the school year.  For more details, please click here.

Registration 2013-14

This week your child should have brought home some registration forms for 2013-14.  You should have received from Rose PTO forms and applicable health forms (2nd grade) or for 5th graders middle school PTO forms and applicable health forms.  If you haven't already done so, please return these completed forms ASAP.

 

Later this month, you will also receive the balance of student registration forms directly from the Barrington 220 Administration Center via U.S. mail.  Please be on the lookout for this packet also.  District registration/course fees will be assessed approximately 2 weeks after the beginning of school in the fall.

If your child will not be returning to the district in the fall, please advise the school office.

UTSAV is a non for profit organization whose aim is preserving, boosting and introducing Indian culture and heritage to children growing up in United States.  There will be an info night held on Tuesday May 14^th at 7pm at Barbara Rose Elementary to get more information on how to participate in the Diwali Night 2013.  For more details on the info night, click here.
