| HOMEWORK: Your child should have 45 minutes of homework each night. If they don't, please have them read a book or see below for other ideas! Please set aside this time for homework/study skills each night. States and Capitals: States and Capitals Information- States and Capitals quizzes are given as indicated on the States and Capitals timeline that your child was given. WORD STUDY: Weekly Word Study Assignment Word Study Assessment List - Students will work on these words throughout the year! Word Study Greek and Latin Roots List 1- Students will discover the meaning of these Greek and Latin roots! READING GROUP: Students are so excited to share their love of reading in our reading circles. Using our BUDDY READING SHEETs found in our Reader's Notebooks, students will record their thinking about the novel that they are reading with classroom friends. They will be asked to come prepared with a retelling of the chapters they've read, THICK questions for classmates to answer, connections to the text, discussions on Author's Craft, predictions and more! Do you know what novel your child is reading in class? MATH: Two to three pages of math homework are assigned each week. Your child finished it in class?
