Make It Simple - Order Next Year's School Supplies Through the PTO Once again, the Countryside PTO has made shopping for back-to-school supplies quick and easy for the next school year. The School Supply Pack Sale is offered as a convenience, not a fundraiser, thus we have ensured that the prices are as low as possible. School Supply Pack order forms were sent home in student's backpacks. They may also be obtained on the PTO website by clicking here. Please return completed order forms to Countryside School with full payment in an envelope marked “School Supply Packs” at your earliest convenience as the deadline is Friday, May 31, 2013. School supply packs will be distributed to your child/children’s classroom(s) prior to the first day of school and will be waiting for you on “Meet the Teachers Day” in August. If you have any questions, please contact the School Pack Committee Members. PTO Meeting - Last Order of Business We invite you to attend one last PTO meeting on Friday, May 24 at 9:15 am to vote on an additional budget item that would provide the school with a new sign in front of the building. The meeting will be held in the Multi-Purpose room. Tools For Schools Countryside is collecting used school supplies for Tools for Schools, a program where individuals and businesses can donate new and used school supplies and/or office supplies. This is a great program because schools and organizations supporting disadvantaged children receive supplies, teachers get equipment for their classrooms, and many items are diverted from landfills. As students clean out their desks, they can donate their used clipboards, scissors, crayons, and/or unused notebook paper. Please be on the lookout for a flyer and form in your child's backpack this week. If you would like your children to participate in this program, please complete and return the form to school by Friday, May 24. Labeled boxes will be placed in each pod for collection of the items during the last few days of school. Thank you for supporting an effort to reduce waste and help students and teachers in need. If you have any questions, please contact Kara Wheaton at karawheaton@gmail.com. 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony Countryside School will be celebrating the class of 2013 with a Recognition Ceremony on Tuesday, May 28th, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. All Countryside 5th Grade family members are invited to attend the Ceremony, held in the Gym, and the Dessert Reception to follow in the Multi-Purpose room.
