7th & 8th Grade Spirit Team

The Spirit Team encompasses the Pom pon and Cheerleading activities here at Prairie. It is a group of students from each grade level, selected by tryouts after clinics. A member needs to demonstrate rhythm, grace, and the ability to learn a routine quickly and accurately. Each member may be required to supply part of their own uniform and Pom Pons. The group promotes school spirit and gives the members an opportunity to express their individual talents and teamwork. The season begins in early Fall and runs until February. Practice may be held four days a week from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. The squad makes signs for school spirit and performs at most home boys' basketball games and any additional school functions that may arise.
