On May 16th, bilingual award-winning author Monica Brown will be meeting with all students during the day. We will have books for sale prior to the event in case you would like your copy autographed by Monica.

All Sunny Hill students in grades K-3 are encouraged to listen to and/or read all 20 book on the Monarch
list. Sunny Hill 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are encouraged to read at least three of the books on the Bluestem
list. Those who read four or more of the books are eligible to vote.
Students will have an opportunity in mid March 2016 to vote for their favorite Monarch or Bluestem book. Sunny Hill School votes will be tallied and combined with others across the state. The book with the highest number of student votes will be declared the winner and will be announced at the Children's Literature Conference in Dekalb.
