Barrington High School
family is saddened by tragic death of popular senior student
.

.
Dear Parents and Community:
Barrington High School received tragic news
this afternoon that senior student Brandon Kleinvehn died sometime within the past 24 hours. After he was reported missing Tuesday night, LaSalle County officials
found his body early Wednesday and he was identified this afternoon. Authorities do not believe he was the victim of foul play. I spoke with Brandon’s family late
today to extend our deepest sympathies on behalf of the school district.
To support grieving students, a full measure of
support services is immediately available this evening until 9 p.m. in the Guidance Resource Center at Barrington High School and again Thursday morning. Resources
from Barrington Youth and Family Services are also on call throughout tonight should students need to speak with a trained counselor, either at school or by
calling (847) 381-0345.
This sudden, inexplicable death of a popular
student is an emotional blow to our entire school community. Brandon’s passing at this time of year is especially heartbreaking given similar student tragedies in
recent months. I know you join me in comforting Brandon’s parents, siblings, classmates and friends who are profoundly affected by his death.
Sincerely, Tom Leonard
