Board Of Education

The District is governed by a School Board consisting of seven members. The Board’s powers and duties include the authority to adopt, enforce, and monitor all policies for the management and governance of the District’s schools.
Official action by the School Board may only occur at a duly called and legally conducted meeting at which a quorum is physically present. School Board members, as individuals, have no authority over school affairs, except as provided by law or as authorized by the Board.

Board Meetings

All regular Board of Education meetings begin with a Closed Session at 6:00 p.m. immediately followed by Open Session at 7:00 p.m. All Open Session meetings take place in the Guidance Resource Center at Barrington High School, 616 West Main Street, Barrington, Illinois. Any changes in date, time, or location will be noted in advance of meeting.
