20/20 Vision In Barrington 220
Have you ever thought about what schools in the Barrington 220 district will
look like in 2020? That seems like a long way off, unless
you consider children who entered kindergarten this year
will become seniors at Barrington High School in the
fall of 2020. We all know how quickly time passes. The
next 12 years will see unprecedented shifts in our world
and in the education we must provide to tens of thousands
of students. In response to these anticipated changes,
we have the responsibility to plan and the challenge
to answer an important question: “What is our 2020 vision?”
In February 2009, the Barrington 220 School District will engage the broader
community in looking to the future. You are invited to help determine the 2020
vision for Barrington 220. With the support of the District 220 Educational Foundation,
the entire community will be invited to participate in this strategic process.

With students and taxpayers in mind, we will establish a plan that identifies
educational priorities and projects in the next decade and beyond. We look forward
