Dual Language students who are currently in Grades K - 4 are eligible to register for and attend DL Summer School.  The mission of the DL Summer School program is to continue to promote, reinforce, and enrich Spanish language acquisition in literacy and the content areas.

 

To express your interest in participation (to enable us to adequately plan for staffing), please print out the Interest Survey form. Return the completed form to your child's teacher by March 1, 2013.  Please click on the link to access the form:  DL SS Interest SURVEY Eng and Span 2013_2.

Does my child need to register for all three weeks?

     No, your child can attend 1, 2 or all 3 weeks.  

 

Where is Summer School going to be held?

     DL Summer School is held at Sunny Hill School located at 2500 Helm Road, Carpentersville, IL.  The phone number is 847/426-4232. 

 

Why isn't DL Summer School in other schools?

     While DL cohorts exist in other schools, Sunny Hill has a wealth of materials and resources in Spanish at all grade levels.

 

Can I complete the registration process online?

    Unfortunately, the registration process for DL is not available online. We are still 'old school'.  Please send the completed form in, with payment, to your child's teacher.

 

Is there transporation available?

   No.  Transportation to and from summer school remains the responsibility of the parents/guardians.  If this changes, you will be notified.

 

What are the summer school hours?

   Summer school is from 9am to 12 noon.
