Enrollment Monitoring Committee
The Enrollment Monitoring Committee (EMC) was established by the Barrington 220 Board of Education to monitor enrollment at the district's schools and to develop redistricting recommendations as necessary to minimize classroom overcrowding. The EMC is comprised of 33 voting members, including three from each elementary school attendance area in the district. The EMC uses current enrollment numbers, enrollment projections and attendance area maps, as well as input from district and school administrators and the Barrington Transportation Company to make their recommendations. Additionally, EMC members tour district schools and have adopted a set of Guiding Principles to assist in future decision-making processes.
Applications are currently being accepted through Oct. 7, 2011, for individuals interested in joining the EMC for terms to expire in 2014. The following materials detail the application process, including an overview of the charter and guiding principles by which the EMC operates.
Thank you for your interest in and application for this important official committee of the Barrington 220 Board of Education.
